Question 1 Parts of a drill bit

Question 2 what the drill bit is made form

Most drill bits are made from high-speed steel, cobalt, or carbide. As you'll see below, a bit's material can influence how effective it is at drilling through different kinds of metals.

Questions 3 list 4 point for a correctly ground drill

Questions 4 what lubricant is required for  mild steel and aluminum

The best lube for aluminum is alum-a-lub and the best lube for mild steel is wd 40

Question 5 how are drills identified

Wood Drill Bits: These can be identified by a small, pointed tip at the very end. If you look closely, you can see spurs on each side

Masonry Drill Bits: These bits have a gently sloping tip

Metal Drill Bits: These have a wide-angled point at the end, and they may also be painted black.

Question 6 draw a morse taper drill shank

Question 7 what is a countersink drill used for

Countersinks are mainly used for countersinking drill holes, countersinking screws and deburring. Countersinking widens the drill hole and facilitates subsequent tapping. When countersinking screws, space is created for the screw head so that it closes with the surface of the workpiece.

Question 8 redraw the countersink drill and the hole it drills

Question 9 describe the steps needed when drilling large holes or drilling accurately
